To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter of reference in support of Gao Yi, who attended my courses of Painting during his second academic year in our school, for his application to study an undergraduate program in your esteemed university.

During my instruction, I had an easy access to his academic behaviors. In class, he left me with the deep impression as a creative and intelligent student who always strove for excellence. Particularly, he had a gift for art. Besides, he was quick in taking in new information and concepts in art field.

Gao Yi often devoted himself in painting. When we conducted our sketch practice outdoors, he always took inspiration from the nature and presented us with unique and outstanding drawings. Owing to his persistence and innovation in academic study, his assignments often accomplished with favorable performance. On the other hand, he did not ignore his development in other aspects.
