1. Yokohama National University (YNU) is a comprehensive national university located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 1876 as Yokohama Normal School and underwent integration and restructuring in 1949 with the merger of Yokohama Economic School, Yokohama Technical School, and Kanagawa Youth Normal School, eventually transforming into Yokohama National University in 2004.

2. YNU has two campuses, Chigusa and Minato Wairare, with different colleges and graduate schools operating on each.
