二、用法不同

1.in the evening用法：当表示某〔有〕一个晚上时,如其前没有定冠词,则通常用数词one而不用不定冠词a(n)。

例句：

到了晚上，我们稍微收拾打扮了一番，然后出去吃晚餐。

2.at night用法：所指的时间一般从下午6点到第二天上午6点,也可指从日落到日出这段时间,还可指从夜间睡下到次日起床这段时间。night是抽象名词,故其前通常不加the,但特指时则要加the。

例句：

Itwaslateatnight,andallwasquietinthevillage.

夜深了，村子里沉静下来。

三、侧重点不同

1.in the evening侧重点：用于一般将来时或一般现在时。
